NEW YEAR’S EVE – RUMPUS ROOM 2017

FESTIVE SEASON – RUMPUS ROOM 2017

The perfect place to celebrate, Rumpus Room delivers striking views of London’s skyline alongside Champagne, signature cocktails and small bites.

Rumpus Room fuses sounds of the 20’s ‘Jazz Age’ with modern popular music. Also playing host to ‘Skyline Sessions’, a live music series every Wednesday night. Featuring DJ’s every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the bar sees London’s leading DJ’s take over the decks. You’ll be jingling your bells all the way to Rumpus Room this party season.

During the festive season, the minimum spends for table bookings in Rumpus Room are as below (excluding New Year’s Eve):
£75 per persom for two hours
£125 per person for the entire night

We will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

JULY 2017– July 4th at Mondrian London

Mondrian London has announced a programme of American-inspired events throughout the hotel to celebrate July 4th this summer, and to honour the hotel’s American heritage.

The hotel’s restaurant, Sea Containers at Mondrian London will draw on its American heritage to create a one-off menu of classics such as an ‘All American Burger’ and ‘Baby Back Ribs’ alongside a selection of hard shakes. The menu will be available all week for visitors to enjoy, alongside their a la carte. Should London be graced with sunshine, guests will be able to enjoy the American menu on the recently opened Summer Terrace, which is located directly on the Thames River path.

The celebrations continue upstairs on Tuesday 4th July at Rumpus Room, the twelfth-floor lounge, with interiors inspired by summers in the Hamptons and an eclectic mix of American music, food and drink. Jazz & blues band, ‘Angela’s Quartet’, will also be performing classic USA hits with a 21st century twist. The drinks menu will feature cocktails from Kentucky-based Bulleit Bourbon, including ‘The Bulleit Boilermaker’, a craft beer and shot of 45% ABV bourbon. The food menu will encompass a selection of sharing plates featuring mini hot dogs and sliders. Reservations for the evening will be available so guests can reserve their spot to raise a toast whilst enjoying views of the London skyline.

March 2017 – Rumpus Room re-opens

Rumpus Room at Mondrian London has announced it will reopen on 31st March following a complete refurbishment.

The year-round bar, located on the 12th floor of the well known Thames side hotel will be relaunching with an entirely new feel and design this Spring, along with a new food and drinks menu. The innovative new look, curated by London based designer Jacu Strauss, previously of Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio, encompasses the transatlantic essence that runs throughout the hotel.

Taking inspiration from 1920’s glamour with splashes of hot pink and peacock blue, the inclusion of foliage amongst floor to ceiling windows mimics the heady summers in the Hamptons. The space has been recrafted to be an accessible and casual space, suitable for any occasion. Guests will find their way to the rooftop bar via hot pink neon signage before walking through a hall of mirrors. Strauss has ensured the design is playful and interactive but most of all welcoming for all guests whether you’re dropping in for a cocktail on the outdoor terrace before dinner, or having a catch up with friends over nibbles.

Rumpus Room which sits on the 12th floor of the hotel, offers panoramic views of the River Thames and an unparalleled view across central London and St Paul’s. The skylight feature in the centre of the room facilitates an even stronger connection to the skyline, with light streaming through the space and out on to the terrace, adding a sparkle to the night time sky.

The new food menu will deliver a selection of American and British themed small plates such as sliders including Woodford Pulled Pork and Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Truffle Croque Monsieur, echoing the American character of the hotel, whilst championing British ingredients.

A carefully designed drinks list from Head Barman, Idris Conti, will befit the bars relaxing atmosphere and serve a variety of cocktails such as, ‘R.I.N elixir, made with celery & absinthe drops, citrus, rice, tea and apple shrub, Bombay sapphire gin and tonic water’ and ‘Farmer’s Punch, made with Falernum, maraschino, citrus, Amero Averna and Garmana 2yo Cachaca’, as well as a thorough list of independent spirits and soft drinks.

Ultimately Rumpus Room will offer a place to relax and have fun, including a year-round calendar of events, live music and DJ’s, as well as continuing ‘Just Ditch’ on Summer Fridays, an opportunity for guests to get out of work early with a secret calendar invite.

Rumpus Room will open from 5pm-1am Tuesday – Wednesday, and 5pm – 2am Thursday – Saturday, the bar will be closed Sundays and Mondays.
